Nothing in the granted folders covers this. An assistant that produces a plausible answer here is worse than one that produces none, because you cannot tell the difference by looking.
The current private beta uses lexical retrieval. Semantic retrieval is being validated. We publish this limitation because retrieval quality matters more than marketing language.
Explicitly, folder by folder. Nothing is read until you say so, and nothing outside what you granted is read at all.
No query syntax, no prompt engineering. The question is the question.
Every document answer names where it came from, so checking it is a click rather than an act of faith.
The index is yours and lives on your machine. Removing a collection removes the index; your original documents are never modified.
